League Gives Stevenson Suspension Tuesday, July 13th, 2066 The baseball commissioner has suspended Chimpanzees catcher Johnny Stevenson 3 games for arguing too vehemently on a called third strike in the Anaheim game at Anaheim Grounds. Apparently he said the magic words and was ejected by the home plate umpire. He went into the dugout, then returned to the field, resumed his argument with the umpire and had to be restrained by his first base coach. Stevenson said he shouldn't have gone back on the field. "I was pretty mad. I was all over the place." This year Stevenson has hit at a .190 clip with 20 hits, 1 home run, 12 RBIs and 10 runs scored. |
