Thompson Smacks 5 Hits for Renegades Friday, April 9th, 2066 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Hudson Valley's Steve Thompson had a very special day against the Wildfires when everything came together for him and he did just that -- collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Hudson Valley Renegades to a 28-12 win at Glendale Grounds. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Thompson said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Steve Thompson singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit a three-run triple in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |
