Mora 5-7 Against Durham Wednesday, April 14th, 2060 No matter what the Durham Bills threw at him today, Manuel Mora hit it. He easily handled Bills pitching, going 5 for 7 and helping the Dark Siders to a 7-5 triumph at Ballpark of Durham. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Durham skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Manuel Mora hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 8th, flied out in the 9th, struck out in the 11th, walked in the 14th and doubled in the 16th. This year Mora is hitting .310, produced 17 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 6 times and gotten on base at a .344 rate. |
