López 5-7 for Oaklawn-Sunview Wednesday, April 14th, 2066 Miguel López told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what López of the Oaklawn-Sunview Thunderbolts did against the Madison Engines. He went to the plate 7 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Engines, who suffered a 7-6 defeat. "Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us." Miguel López hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Raymond Baker in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 11th. This season López is hitting .226 with 3 home runs. |
