Phillips Bewilders Hazards in Shutout Sunday, April 11th, 2066 The Walcott Hazards were almost helpless today in their 4-0 loss to Rochester hurler Jerry Phillips. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 3-hit shutout. The Walcott manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Phillips. He kept us off balance all night." Phillips said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way." He had 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in a strong performance. |
