Garrett Goes on Rampage Against Hill Cats Friday, June 25th, 2060 After the Ingalls 19-1 victory over Henderson and his 6-hit day center fielder Bob Garrett told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good. Three or four hits even better, five or more are out of sight ... and if it is in pro ball, it is really something special." The 21-year-old player gained that distinction today at Hill Cats Ballpark with a spectacular 6 for 6 game against the Henderson Hill Cats. The skipper of the Gunboats spoke glowingly of Garrett, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Bob did that to perfection today." Bob Garrett hit a two-run single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. In his 2060 season totals, Garrett has 8 home runs, .336 BA, .395 OBP, 52 RBIs and 49 runs scored. |
