Morris Shuts out Sand Crabs
Tuesday, June 15th, 2066
The Spokane Sand Crabs were almost helpless today in their 4-0 loss to Kingstown hurler John Morris. He kept them confused the entire ballgame and spun a 4-hit shutout.

The Spokane manager said in the postgame interview, "Tip your hat to Morris. He kept us off balance all night."

Morris said, "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play. It was just one of those games that things went my way."

He had 2 walks and 1 strikeout in a strong performance.

So far this year Morris has made 15 starts, tossed 87 innings, struck out 60 batters and walked 27. His record is 8-7 with a 4.14 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .300 batting average.
