No Hits for León, Streak Ends at 20 Tuesday, May 11th, 2066 Bees first baseman Hidalgo León went 0-for-4 today in Orlando's 3-2 triumph over the Orlando Flight, snapping his 20-game hitting streak. León spoke to BNN after the game and said, "I knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later. I just would have preferred later." When he made an out in his last chance at bat, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. The Flight manager shrugged off the streak. "There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," he said. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here." Thus far this season León is hitting .338 with 2 home runs, 16 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 154 at-bats and has played in 37 games. |
