Springers Welch Suspended 2 Games Wednesday, April 14th, 2066 Green Valley's Bruno Welch made contact with the home plate umpire during a dispute in the game with the Push yesterday and he will have to pay for it. Welch violently disagreed when he was called out on strikes. During the intense discussion he bumped chests with the umpire and was immediately tossed out of the game. Today the league commissioner gave him a 2-game suspension. Still steamed by it, Welch told BNN, "I think the ump bumped me and he is the one who should be suspended. I'm going to appeal this sucker." So far this season Welch has no home runs and a .485 batting average. |
