Dailey Hurls Vandergrift to Shutout Win Sunday, July 25th, 2066 The Golden Giants manager was philosophical after his team was shut out by the Vandergrift Deers 4-0. "It was just one of those games, shake it off and do better next time," he said. Nelson Dailey blanked them on 4 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. "I kept them off balance. I could tell a lot of them were late on fastballs. They were fouling them off. Once you see that, it sets them up for other pitches," Dailey said. "I set them up pretty good, where if they chased one breaking ball, they were going to chase another one." This year Dailey has compiled a 2-8 record with a 4.86 ERA in 10 starts. |
