Francisco Penedo showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Garland Chiefs and helped the San Felipe Pueblo Roadsters beat them 13-10. The manager for the Chiefs told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Penedo keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Francisco Penedo flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and walked in the 11th. In 41 games this year Penedo has posted a .399 average and put up these numbers: 4 home runs, 35 RBIs and 29 runs scored. |
