Kane Goes 5-6 Thursday, May 13th, 2066 No matter what the Newton Mud Dogs threw at him today, Barry Kane hit it. He easily handled Mud Dogs pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Cavaliers to a 13-4 triumph at Ballpark of Hialeah. He told BNN reporters in the postgame interview, "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball." The Newton skipper quipped, "Well, the next time we might just do that... blindfold him... and then pitch him differently, just to be sure." Barry Kane hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Edgardo Otero in the 5th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. For the year Kane is batting .342 with 1 home run. |
