Deers Pitching Ravaged by Lee Thursday, April 29th, 2066 On top of the Akron hit parade today was Rob Lee. He went to the plate 5 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Golden Giants to a 10-0 victory over the Vandergrift Deers. The sweet swinging left fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the Deers wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Rob Lee singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Joe Chappell in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. To date this season Lee is hitting .369 with 1 home run. |
