Meléndez and Sheppard Suspended 5 Games Thursday, September 30th, 2066 Armando Meléndez of Anaheim and Zach Sheppard of Oakland were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. They will both miss 5 games because of their fight. League officials announced their suspensions today. Meléndez is currently batting .333 with 35 home runs and 112 RBIs. This season Sheppard has a 6-19 mark in 33 starts with a 5.94 ERA. He has given up 245 hits in 206 innings, struck out 153 and issued 72 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .293 batting average against him. |
