5-Hit Game for Torres Tuesday, September 21st, 2066 Who needs batting practice? Roberto Torres of Houston apparently doesn't as he battered Anaheim with a 5-hit outburst in today's game to lead his club to a 17-4 win. He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 6 day... will my name be in the record books now?" Roberto Torres flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. In this current campaign Torres is hitting at a .332 clip with 21 home runs and 92 RBIs. |
