Júlio Palma Gets 250th Victory Wednesday, September 1st, 2066 It was a special day at SBC Park for Arizona's Júlio Palma. The Diamondbacks ace logged his 250th career win against the Giants. In the 4-2 decision Palma tossed 7 innings, surrendered 5 hits with 5 walks and 6 strikeouts. "I'm real fortunate that I had the opportunity to play with such good players during my career," said Palma. "I just couldn't have drawn it up any better. I'm glad I did it in this uniform, too. Arizona is a great organization to play for." In his lifetime, the 33-year-old Palma has won 250 and lost 154, piling up 2877 strikeouts with a 3.54 ERA. Opponents have hit .257 against him. |
