Gómez on Fire, 5-6 Against Oakland Tuesday, August 31st, 2066 Kansas City shortstop Juan Jose Gómez went 5-for-6 today and paced the Royals to a 13-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics at McAfee Coliseum. Juan Jose Gómez singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off John Murphy in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season Gómez is hitting .356 with 2 home runs. |
