Brewers Stop McDonald at 24 Sunday, August 29th, 2066 Bobby McDonald of the St. Louis Cardinals came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 5 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 24-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, St. Louis dropped the game to the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2. In a postgame comment McDonald told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This season McDonald is hitting .345 with 13 home runs. |
