Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Tuesday, August 3rd, 2066 Baseball officials have notified the Los Angeles Angels and Orioles organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Anaheim-Baltimore contest at Angel Stadium. Armando Meléndez of the Los Angeles Angels and Ralph Billings of the Orioles will have to sit out 8 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl. Meléndez is currently hitting at a .337 pace with 27 home runs, 80 RBIs and has scored 79 times. This season to date Billings has a record of 6 wins and 7 losses with a 4.69 ERA, has appeared in 19 games and struck out 112 in 124.2 innings. |
