Cleveland, Milwaukee Close Deal Saturday, July 31st, 2066 It took some time to iron out the details, but the Indians and Brewers have agreed to a swap. Milwaukee will get 27-year-old starting pitcher Kerry Lord and 32-year-old left fielder Ernest Dale with Cleveland receiving 31-year-old left fielder Arthur Donaldson in return. A source close to the trade talks said the two clubs were initially looking to make a bigger deal, but discussions broke off late last night. The two sides reconvened early today and eventually settled on this deal. On the season Lord has compiled a 6-6 mark with a 5.09 ERA in 20 starts. In pitching 127.1 innings he has 108 strikeouts and 53 walks while limiting the opposition to a .296 batting average. So far on the season Donaldson is hitting .352 with 1 home run, 39 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 119 hits and played in 85 games. |
