Hitting Streak Still Alive for Murphy Tuesday, July 27th, 2066 George Murphy's bat has been smoking lately as he went 2-for-5 in today's 9-3 triumph over Philadelphia at Jacobs Field. The 31-year-old center fielder for the Cleveland Indians has now hit safely in 20 consecutive games. George Murphy flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th. So far this season Murphy is hitting .347 with no home runs. |
